Safety instructions
Sunlight and heat sources
The upholstered furniture is made of various materials that are sensitive to light and heat. Therefore, please note the following:
- Even fabric and leather covers with high lightfastness can fade over time if the piece of furniture is exposed to direct sunlight.
- Excessive heat damages upholstered furniture. Therefore, keep it away from heat sources such as radiators and stoves.
- Wax stains or similar should never be treated with appliances such as irons or hair dryers, as these generate heat.
Load and blocking
Upholstered furniture has fixed and movable parts, as well as adjustment mechanisms, that function reliably when used correctly. Please note the following:
- Caution: Danger of crushing: Motorized parts can injure people or animals and damage objects.
- Place the upholstered furniture on a flat surface to avoid uneven loads.
- Components can be damaged if they are overloaded, e.g. by jumping or sitting in the unfolded position.
- Pushing or moving the furniture can bend or break its feet and damage the floor.
- Avoid point-like stress, such as falling into it or “trampoline jumping.”
- Do not use force if a function is blocked.
- Loads should be distributed evenly to avoid wear on individual seat surfaces.
- Make sure that extending parts are not blocked by objects.
- When using a reclining seat, please do not stand up when it is open or place your feet between the footrests.
- The recline function is suitable for up to 120 kg per seat. For seat widths of 100 cm and over, the function is approved for two people, with a maximum load of 200 kg.
Electronic functions
Electronic components may only be used by persons with the necessary physical, sensory, or cognitive capabilities, or under the supervision of a responsible person. The following points must be observed:
- People, body parts or objects can be trapped by the electrical functions.
- To avoid damage, do not squeeze, bend or pull cables, batteries or power supplies.
- Power supplies must not be covered by textiles such as carpets or curtains, as there is a risk of fire due to heat generation.
- If there is damage to electrical components, unusual noises, smells or smoke, immediately unplug the upholstered furniture from the power supply and secure the area.
- Do not place the furniture in an explosive environment or near fire sources.
- Liquids must not enter the electrical components. If this happens, the functions must no longer be used.
- The relax function is approved for up to 120 kg per seat, with a width of 100 cm and up to 200 kg for two people.
Dangers from moving parts
Moving components may only be used by qualified personnel or under supervision. The following hazards should be avoided:
- Trapped body parts or damaged objects due to moving parts of the upholstered furniture.
- Footrests and headrests are not designed to withstand heavy loads. Jumping or sitting while extended may result in breakage.
- When maneuvering, support legs can break off, which can cause injuries.
- The relax function is suitable for up to 120 kg per seat and for two people up to 200 kg from a width of 100 cm.
- Not suitable for children under 36 months!, Choking hazard due to small parts that can be swallowed
- Assembly must be performed by an adult. Use only under adult supervision. Do not use near stairs.
- All bags and packaging materials must be removed before use.
